THE ASSIGNMENT
Restoration and replacement of seepage water drains with minimized airation of the landfill body during contruction time.
Working under polluted / contaminated conditions by using the necessary safety regulation standards (for example german BRG 128).
Pinpoint sinking of the shafts down to ca. 60 m below ground level.
THE SOLUTION
Sinking of two shafts (tandem shaft) made of steel pipes having an inner diameter of 2500 mm with a distance off 2,0 m to each other down to the basement of the landfill.
Installing a tunnel as a connection between the two shafts on the bottom in order to facilitate the necessary space for bending radius of the new HDPE-pipes.
Restoration / replacement of seepage water drains by static/dynamic berstlining over a distance up to 120 m.
