history of BRECHTEL

The history of BRECHTEL Brunnen- und Speziailtiefbau GmbH started more than 100 years ago.

The local operating well construction company was founded in 1883 by Johannes Brechtel. Considering the rapid development of water demand at that time the company prospered considerably. With activities like drilling wells down to 2000 m below ground level an excellent reputation was created.

End of 1960's Heilit und Woerner Bau AG bought share of 50% of the company. 1974 they got the complete ownership.

A merger with Terra Grundbau GmbH, an other company of Heilit und Woerner, was performed end of 1980. Up the 1990's the company name was Brechtelterra Spezialtiefbau und Umwelttechnik GmbH.

Since Celler Brunnenbau Finanz Holding group took over the companyin 1995 Brechtel Brunnen- und Spezialtiefbau GmbH was acting as a company which offered services around well construction, ground engenering and construction of water supply facilities.
