Collector Wells in the USA:
The following projects we performed in cooperation with an American partner who built the caissons.
BHG Brechtel GmbH / PREUSSAG / PST Spezialtiefbau respectivly (see history of BHG Brechtel GmbH) installed the laterals by application of the PREUSSAG Kiesmantel method.

Perth Amboy
The caisson has a depth of 26 m (ca. 85 ft). 5 laterals with a complete length of 280 m (ca. 919 ft) were constructed. After finishing the expected length of each lateral a 250 mm- (ca. 10"-) screen was installed and the artificial gravel pack was flushed in.
The capacity of this well was designed for about 800 cubicmeters per hour (ca. 5 MGD). The project was successfully executed in 1987.

Independence
This project was realized in 1993.
The installation of 9 laterals was done out of a 38 m (ca. 125 ft) deep caisson. The expected pumping rate of 2200 cubicmeters per hour ( ca. 14 MGD) was realized by installation of a complete length of 490 m screens with an artificial gravel pack.

Cape Girardeau
In 1998 an other contract in the USA was performed.
For realizing a pumping rate of 1060 cubicmeters per hour (ca. 6,7 MGD) 6 laterals had to be built. All in all 315 m ( ca 1033 ft) stainless steel screens with an inner diameter of 300 mm ( ca. 12") were installed.
The aquifer at the Mississippi river bank infiltration requested to cover the screens whith an artificial gravel pack installation. This was realized by using the PREUSSAG Kiesmantel method.
